Charleston Gumbo

Ingredients

For the Rue

Ingredients Saute onions, bell pepper and garlic in bacon grease or olive oil.
Add tomatoes and let cook slowly for 15 minutes stirring often.
Add a little water if necessary to prevent sticking.
Add the Rue, sausages, shrimp and okra and cook for another 15 minutes on low heat.
Salt and pepper to taste.
As an option you can add crab legs.
Serve over rice and enjoy!
