Quote Of The Month: “50% of people use Google well as a search engine. The other 50% of them use it to check if their internet is connected.” (Author Unknown) Congratulations To: To Your Health With Jourdin Hendershot: Flossing While Driving Can Cost You MoneyA partial reprint from an article by Melissa Busch at DrBicuspid.com
Unfortunately, this man isn´t the first Tesla driver to misuse the car´s self-driving function. In December, a Connecticut man was driving on autopilot when he crashed into a police car. The man was given a ticket for reckless driving after he admitted he wasn´t paying attention. People have been caught eating, drinking, sleeping, and even creating a pornographic video while using autopilot. The bottom line is, new cars have a lot of new perks and safety features. Make sure that you stay focused on driving. If you can´t pay attention… Get the floss off the road. Whisk eggs, butter, milk and baking powder together until smooth. Add all other ingredients and stir until mixed. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cut into squares and garnish with a dollop of sour cream and some salsa. Extra squares can be refrigerated and will keep 3 or 4 days. Just pop one in the microwave for 30 seconds and you're ready to eat! Enjoy! And remember, if it looks and smells good, eat it!! After your treatment is complete, you can purchase retainers to wear at night to keep your teeth in alignment. Payment arrangements can be made through SmilePaySM for just $85 monthly. The site claims there are no forms to fill out and no credit checks. There seem to be some fundamental problems with this entire process. Nowhere does it mention filling out a medical history form prior to treatment. Refunds appear to be nearly impossible because their “non-disclosure” agreement requires a patient to sign the agreement prior to posting any reviews or complaints on social media, et al. Of course, signing the agreement means that you cannot post negative reviews about the company. Many people do not realize that, and will post a review or contact an attorney first, and then of course, the company will not refund. NBC news placed hidden cameras at SmileDirectClub shops in 3 states and they caught employees on video “misguiding patients, telling them they don´t have to see a dentist before treatment”. This is significant. It is proof that things are not always as they seem. Additionally, they don´t appear to mention on their website that all potential customers are required to see a dentist within 6 months before they begin treatment, as well as having a mid-treatment evaluation at one of their SmileShops. It is interesting to note that on their website, SmileDirectClub asserts that they have “more than 750,000 grinners and counting”. To date, the Better Business Bureau has logged over 1,800 complaints. The complaints range from minor to major, including customer service issues and product quality to nerve damage and broken teeth. Editor´s Note: The BBB website states that “Due to the volume of complaints filed against this business, BBB only publishes the details for 50% of the total complaints filed.” Until next time; brush, floss and keep smiling!
