Porcelain CrownA porcelain crown is a covering made out of fired ceramic that replaces missing tooth structure. The porcelain crown in dentistry is made out of tooth colored porcelain and then fired at about 1100 degrees to melt the porcelain into a glass-like material that is then fitted by the dentist and cemented into the mouth. |
