- Radiographs
- - Radiograph is the medical term for x-rays
- Recycling
- - A disgusting procedure where an orthodontist takes bands, brackets, wires, etc. out of one patient's mouth and "recycles" them to another patient's mouth.
- Retainer
- - A gadget that the orthodontist gives you to wear after the orthodntist removes your braces.
- Retruded
- - A term used when your front teeth are slated lingually (i.e. toward the back of your mouth).

- - The part of your tooth in your gums
- Root Canal
- - Removal of the nerve and blood supply of the tooth
- Rotation
- - A movement in which the tooth turned along the long axis of the tooth.
