dentition (teeth) are brought into a physiologically functioning unit for the proper mastication (chewing) of nutrients (food) for the human body. Orthodontics (braces) has changed drastically since its inception. It is now possible to have ‘braces’ placed on the tongue side of the teeth so as to not interfere with the appearance of the person. Another new way to treat orthodontic problems is a computer generated clear soft plastic (invisalign®) that is used in a systematic approach to guide the teeth into a more functional position so that one may masticate (chew) the fuel the body needs more efficiently.
